Design Rationale

Simplifying Brand Discover

Bridging Shopping Gap

Designer Showcase

Onboarding Experience

Research showed that 65% of users shopped at least once a month, but many struggled to discover new brands efficiently. To address this:

Intuitive Categorization:

I created clear, meaningful brand categories that aligned with how our users naturally thought about shopping. This reduced the overwhelming nature of brand discovery and helped users find relevant options quickly.

Applied Hick's Law:

By reducing the number of choices presented at once, I decreased cognitive load and decision fatigue. This approach decreased the time users spent searching for relevant brands by 40%.

Conclusion

Thank you for taking the time to read through this case study. While this case study provides only a glimpse of my work at The BrandScanner, I hope it demonstrates my design process and approach to problem-solving.

Working at The BrandScanner has taught me not just how to design, but how to build great products. Seeing the positive impact my designs have on users is always a fulfilling experience.

Although I did not cover the entirely about my work at The BrandScanner in this case study, I would be happy to discuss it further in a call. Please feel free to reach out if you have any questions or if you would like to discuss a potential project.
